Little Angels
When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above.
We mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child,
who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold.
So He picks a rosebud
before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them
and so He takes but few,
to make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind know
will always be "Goodbye".
So when a child departs
we who are left behind,
must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.

Today..August 28th is one year that little Giovanni passed away. He was mine and Sam's nephew. He passed away in his sleep of pneumonia, we later found out. Marissa (Giovanni's mom and Sam's sister) lives in the apartment in front of us, we are very close to her. When Giovanni was born he was diagnosed with Char Syndrome. Char Syndrome is a very rare genetic disorder characterized mainly by an unusual facial appearance, abnormal little fingers and a heart abnormality. Also hearing loss, vision loss and delays in development are common. We also later found out that infants with Char Syndrome are at higher risk of developing pneumonia.
We bought a Mexico soccer onesie for Giovanni (the one he is wearing above) when he was born cause his uncle Sam loves soccer. He at least got to wear it once, although it was a little big.
I know that he is in a better place. He is running around, happy, playing and smiling looking down on his mom and family. He is doing all the stuff that he wasn't going to be able to do here on Earth. He is still missed and will always be in our hearts.
