Margaritas!!

So this post is also a little late, but this week was busy for me. I did not get a chance to get to my computer until today.

Last weekend was Michele's birthday, she is one of my best friends. We have been best friends for almost 16 years!!! We met in 6th grade, been there for each other through the hardest, saddest, and happiest times in our lives.  Michele is not only my best friend but she is a sister to me.

So for her birthday we went to this Mexican restaurant in Brentwood. They served 60oz margaritas...YES!! not a typo 60oz margarita! The food was also good but of course the margarita was the best..lol.

Enjoying the margarita from different angles..lol.

Rosie, Sandra, Michi, Gricelda, Yasmine, me and Mercedes.

Yasmine, Me and Mercedes...because I love these girls, I shared my margarita with them.

Sandra, Michi and Me..just us three girls got the 60oz margarita...no one else wanted to get one.

We didn't have any candles so we sang happy birthday and had her blow out a lighter and make a wish.

After dinner we went to Michi's house, and decided we want to continue celebrating so we went to a bar. Here we are having some mojitos.

After the first bar, we went to a mexican bar called "Los Vaqueros". Love hanging out with my girls..it was a very fun night :)

Just so it is known that..our husbands were with us at dinner out in the patio area where we were eating. But they went into the restaurant to watch the boxing fight that was on that night...Ortiz vs. Mayweather. Boys and their sports..lol. That is why there are not in any pictures. Then  just the girls just headed out to the bars...the men were party pooppers...lol.

Our Oregon Road Trip

So this post is like a weekend late..lol. I have been fighting a nasty cold and still fighting it. No bueno!!

For labor day weekend, we decided to take a road trip to Oregon. Me, Sam, Mario (Sam's little brother), Jackie, Jennie and Michelle (My sisters).  We left Saturday very early in the morning around 4:30am. Since it was a first time driving in that direction we were amazed by all the beautiful scenery we were passing, we were stopping everywhere. We got to Gold Beach Oregon at around 2:00pm.

When we first ran into the Ocean after the Redwoods!! It was such an beautiful view.

We saw some Elk!!

In the car Michelle and Jennie being silly.

Cheers to Oregon!!
After we got to Gold Beach, we rested for a bit and headed out to have some dinner. We ate at a place called Family Sunset Pizza, it was very good.

After dinner, we decided to go to the beach. Although it was 6:00pm and it was foggy and a little cold.

They say that the best pedicure is with sand..lol.

Michelle and Jackie were very happy and enjoying the cold beach...lol.

He was keeping me warm, cause it was cold.

Michelle found a tree trunk..lol.

Love hearing my hubby laugh, he was having a good time :)

The next morning we had breakfast at Port Hole Cafe. Jennie loved the cup in which they served their soda. Her and my other sisters decided to purchase one each to take home..lol.

My hot chocolate..with lots of whipped cream just how I like it :)

So after breakfast we did some shopping, I bought a new wine glass that I love!! I tested it out later out that night..hehehe.

In 1881 the boat Mary Duncan Hume (above) was launched.
The Mary D. Hume for the first ten years she hauled wood, canned salmon and other goods from the Oregon Coast to San Francisco. She then served proudly as a tugboat under numerous owners for 60 years. She retired in the summer of 1978, in the Port of Gold Beach. Her final resting place a few hundred feet from her birthplace.

Reading the history on the Mary D. Hume boat and The Rogue River Bridge.

We were inspired after reading the history on the Rogue River Bridge, we decided to hike to it. The bridge is also known as The Isaac Lee Patterson Bridge completed in 1931, was one of the first bridges in the U.S to use the Freyssinet method of arch stress control.

Right under The Rogue River Bridge.

After, we went to the Prehistoric Gardens.
Sam running away very slowly away from the Trex..lol.
